Tortas de Alicante, also known as Imperiales, are a classic of traditional artisan nougat. The Alicante nougat paste is shaped by hand into a thin, round form, covered with two sheets of wafer. Whole almonds, arranged in a single layer and combined with the delicious taste of the wafer, make these tortas very pleasant and easy to eat.
